Happy New Year to you all

Firstly I would like to wish everyone a healthy, happy and prosperous new year, thank you to all those who have visited my little corner of blogland over the year even though I haven't posted as much as I would have liked. I plan to change that in 2014.

This is my latest creation, she is one of the Snow babies from Elisabeth Bell. I used my new Spectrum Noir pens to colour her and am quite pleased with the results.
I cut the image out with Labels 4 from Spellbinders and as the next size up was too big for the card I just drew round the die for a little border on the image.
I used some silver paper and my Martha Stewart lace doily punch to create some paper lace, I added some seam binding I coloured with my pens, a few punched snowflakes and pearls for the middle of them. The backing paper and sentiment is from the Crafters Companion Inspiration magazine cd. I can see these being used fairly often. I added some sparkle with some glamour dust round the edges.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Loves Rubber Stamps- New Years resolution -mine is to make my Christmas Card all year round in 2014
Winter Wonderland- Fashion -I'm hoping her outfit will be enough for this one
Crafts and Me- Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly- Any Challenge- Anything Goes
Digi Sketch Challenge- Sketch I have used the sketch and the theme of ribbons and pearls
Divas By Design- Anything Goes
Songbird Challenges- Christmas
A gem of a Challenge- Anything Goes
Elisabeth Bell's World- Snow and lace

As always thank you for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to take the time t leave are greatly appreciated.

Another post from me... 2 in a month things are looking up

I have enjoyed taking part in WOYWW so much I thought I would share some of the things I have been doing lately and enter a few challenges so here goes

This card is for my nephews birthday, the stamp is one of Mo Manning's and I thought ti was just right for a teenage boy who loves his X Box. The card is folded back on itself and the topper is mounted onto to some embossed card. I have used some card candi to match the buttons on the X Box control to finish it off.
I want to enter this one into the following challenges:
DP2 Your favourite card of the year using one of Mo's images.
I heart Promarkers where they want more than one fold
Without Words for our nearest and dearest
OSAAT where anything goes

This is a box my Mum requested for her friends grandson, I made this using the new Sweet Treats Board from Crafters Companion. I do like these board and can see me using them a lot I made one for my Mother In Law as well but didn't get a picture of it before I gave it away. I used some Kraft Card, decorated with some die cuts, snowflakes, reindeer and a sleigh which I joined together with some ribbon and a name plate made using my fab gold labels 4.
I would like to enter this into these challenges:
Crafters Companion Use Ribbon
Top Tip Tuesday Snowflakes
Crafting for all Seasons Christmas but not a card

This is a card I made for a swap with a lovely lady on a forum I take art in, the stamp was a freebie from a magazine, I coloured the images with Pro Markers, used some dies to create the shapes, the paper were another freebie but so very nice, I used my new bow die for the little bow and an older word die for the sentiment.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Sunday Sketch and Stash use any sketch
Passion 4 Pro Markers Use a Sentiment
My Time to craft Christmas birds

This is the card I made for my Mum and Dad this yea, I remember my Mum telling stories about her having red hair when she was younger so this one seemed the right one for them. The decoupage was die cut so easy to do. I used a frame die to mount it on and inked the edges with some distress inks. I used some of the fab ribbon I got at the NEC this year. I used my eBosser to emboss some gold card for the background using the folder that comes with it. I am entering this card for the following challenges:

This one is just to show you, I made it for my Mum's friend I bought a whole set of stamps for that little horse!! As soon as I saw him I could see this card in my head so I had to have him. The tree and the fence are die cuts, inked up and glittered. he snow effect is just some ripped paper and glitter.
If you have got to here well done you I know it's a picture heavy post, again this one is just to share, I made this one for my in laws wedding anniversary using the Tattered Lace Couple Die, I really like this card. Thank you for popping by and if you are kind enough to leave a comment is would be most appreciated.
I am hoping to post more regularly next year and will try to not have them soooo long then. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2014.

Whats On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 237

Wow it's been a long time since I posted anything so the best way to get back into blogging is to join in with sharing my desk with you all. You can join in too at Julia's lovely blog. This is my desk this morning. The pillow boxes are ready to be cut out to drop some lovely earrings into.

Sorry this one is a bit blurry, these are my new Spectrum Noir pens I got for my birthday recently.
I had a bit of a play with my new pens yesterday, not too happy with the flowers but I think they are too small to practise with, that's my excuse any way. I am quite pleased with the little boy stamp though.

This is a close up of the little boy I coloured, without realising it I used the colours of our local rugby team the Wolves.

Thank you for popping by, any comments you are kind enough to leave are greatly appreciated. I will visit as many of you as I can. I am hoping to get back to blogging on a fairly regular basis next year.

WOYWW #197

Wow it's Wednesday again! I missed last week as I wasn't in the house very much I was gadding about like a social butterfly and oh it was sooo nice.
This post is picture heavy so I won't say tooo much, this is my craft room before and after I had a tidy up.

Just goes to show what a difference the angle makes to the light as they were all taken at the same time.

As you can see still some things lying around but at least I have a place to work again. I will visit as many of you as I can.
Thanks for popping by and don't forget to join in at The Stamping Ground to see more desks and places of creativity. As always any comments you are kind enough to leave are most appreciated.

WOYWW 27th Feb

Well for the first time in a very long time I am joining in on the fun at The Stamping Ground. This is where you show your desk, floor, table whatever you work on to the world.

I was crafting last night and this is how I left it. I was making a birthday card for the middle daughter.

I have used a Teddy Bo digi stamp and some paper I got as a freebie from a magazine a while ago, I cut out the image, coloured it with Promarkers of course and mounted it onto my card. I made the card blank using various dies and papers from my stash.
I am entering the card in the following challenges:

As always thanks for popping by and if you are kind enough to take the time to leave a comment it is appreciated.

Another post...

Shocking as it may seems I have another post for you all!!!!
This is my lovely dog Ben he is a cross Rottweiler and German Shepherd and he loves nothing more than being allowed up on the bed in my craft room. He helps keep me sane and those of you who know me will know how hard that is!

This a a close up of my latest card from Designed to Delight, the lovely Faith gave us 3 versions of this to use, one full of lowers as I have used, one full of shamrocks and one full of Easter Eggs. I have also used my newest toy the fabulous Imperial Gold Labels 4 from Spellbinders, these dies are amazing and I can see them being additive.
I have used some paper I have had for so long I have no idea where it came from and some ribbon my friend gave me a long time ago that just seemed right for this card. This is as close to Clean and Simple as I will ever get I think! lol

This is another of Faiths images from ages ago, my friend is Welsh and as it is St David's Day soon I made this up for her. She's not a blogger so I can show you now with safety. I haven't managed to catch it very well but there is some glitter on the second card and the paper is foiled.

I am entering these cards in the following challenges:

Crafty CardMakers- Flowers as the main focus
One Stitch At At Time - Use a digi
Oh La La Challenge Blog- Sparkle and Shine

Thank you as always for popping by and if you are kind enough to leave a comment it is always appreciated.

Hello Again

Well at long last I have done some crafting and found some time to share what I have been up to for a change. My sister is really learning to cope with losing her sight, I am working full time from home and everything else is improving so here's hoping that 2013 will be a better year than 2012.

This card was made fro my friend's birthday, I made the card on digital scrapbook artist and coloured the lovely digi stamps from Designed to Delight with my pro-markers. I added some card candi in the corners, some glitter and put glossy accents on the icing to make it look real.

A different view of the same card.
This one I gave to another friend who wasn't feeling well at all. Again the image is from Designed to Delight, I used DSA to add some extra flowers, the text and some extra birds.

I am hoping to blog a bit more this year but I'm not promising anything, take care, thanks for popping by and if you are kind enough to leave a comment it will be most appreciated.
