Pile It On Challenge 25 Cute

Hello again, I can't believe I haven't posted for so long, note to self must do better, this time I am posting for Pile It on and we would like to see your Cute creations. I am sorry not sure what has happened to the post but will try to fix it. We are sponsored by Oddball Art.

Prize - 3 single digital stamps from Oddball Art

Oddball Art by Lizzy Love: Growing up a child of the 80's, pop rocks princess, with an extreme fondness for anything candy coated, Kawaii Kitten & Ziggy Stardust, all of which had a major influence in the work that I am creating today. I employ many different mediums when I create, anything from mixed media painting to sewing with many different textiles, the end result always being the same; A whimsical dream world filled with big eyed beauties, creepy little cuties and quirky monsters of all shapes and sizes.

I was able to use Kawaii Clouds, I decided to use a beach scene and add my clouds to it. Sorry I haven't put the beach scene into a folder so not sure who it is by.

I used one of my new A4 embossing folders and some Tumbled Glass distress Ink for the background, I think this is my new favourite way to create backgrounds so apologies if you get fed up seeing this one.

I used my Spectrum Noir pencils to colour the image in I do love the effect you get with just the pencils. I used another embossing folder for the little beach huts, cut them out of the card stock and coloured then with the pencils as well. I wanted a backing for the image and beach huts so found a sheet of packaging in my scrap box and roughly cut it with some decorative scissors. The scissors are not something I used very often but I think they will be used a little more now as I like the effect I got with them.

I used my new embossing folder I got at Bolton on Sunday, swiped the embossed card with some tumbled glass distress ink to create the background. I wanted to frame the image so used some papers from a magazine, some black card and my doily punch from Martha Stewart. 2 pastel ribbons one is blue the other is pink in a big bow and some flowers in the corner finished it off.

Pile It On Challenge 21 Use some Metal

Hello again, I am late posting this one as I have been to see my Granny, thankfully she is getting better, she is still old, frail and a bit poorly but not ill like she has been so that is excellent news. Anyway onto the crafting, this time at Pile It On we are asking you to use some metal on your project. We are sponsored by Add a Little Dazzle who very kindly sent some metal sheets for us to play with.

Our sponsor is Add a Little Dazzle, a fun store and blog dedicated to beautiful metal sheets. Be sure to check out their weekly challenge too! One lucky participant will win a $25 GC to the Add a Little Dazzle Store
We specialize in an exclusive line of craft metal sheets that helps you take your crafting to the next level. Whether you are a seasoned or new crafter, our craft metal sheets will help you create unique projects that will make you stand out among the crowd. Are you ready to take your crafting to the next level? Add a Little Dazzle Craft Metal Sheets will help you turn the ordinary into the extraordinary.

I have gone with the pink and black from the selection I received. I used my Tonic dies to cut out the shapes. The metal cut easily in the eBosser, I just ran it through twice to help the pieces come out of the more intricate sections. I used a scrap of black paper and a punch to create some paper lace to hide the join on the background die. I swiped the card with some distress ink as I didn't like it just white, some gems and that was it. I really wanted the metal to be the star f the show so I kept the card fairly simple.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Die Cutting Divas - Happy Birthday
Just Inspirational Challenges - Birthdays
Shopping Our Stash- Birthdays
Dazzling Diva - Anything Goes

Dilly Beans

I was able to use the fabulous Stitched Snowman from Dilly Beans this time. I coloured him with my pens, I know there isn't much colouring but there is some!!! I cut him out by hand. I used some papers from a magazine pad, an old card blank that should be a gatefold card but I didn't want a gatefold so I just chopped the edge off. I punched the edge and added some ribbon to hide the join. I used an old embossing folder, this has words in the middle but my snowman was big enough to hide them, I sanded the mirri finish back and swiped the card with some Pine Needles distress ink. I added some ink round the edge of the flap just to tie it in.

I used one of the papers in the pack and my digital software to punch out the words. I used the other paper for my background, I added some paw prints in black. Pile It On Challenge 17

Hello again, welcome back, today's post is the new challenge at Pile It On. We are sponsored by the fabulous Rouge Redhead Designs.

Rogue Redhead Designs specializes in vintage, eclectic and modern stamp designs. Pressed into quality red rubber, these highly detailed images are sure to impress. Be sure to check out our New Releases, Plate of the Month deals on our website, rogueredheaddesigns.com, our companion Facebook group, the Rogue Stampers, and our blog.

Prize - A $25.00 voucher that can be used towards rubber stamps (plates or singles), mounting materials, storage panels and shipping costs at the Rogue Redhead store. Shipping is not included in the prize although the voucher can be used toward shipping costs.

I would recommend you have a look at their blog as there are so many beautiful designs and ideas on there.
This time at Pile It On we are asking for Ink On Paper Stamping, so dig out those rubber and acrylic stamps and get inky.
The team were lucky enough to receive a stamp plate from Rouge Redhead Designs, the one I received was Nature Notes.
I stamped the scene onto some watercolour card, used some Versacolour ink pads and my water pen to colour it in. I used one of the smaller stamps to create the green flourishes.

From the Rouge Redhead Designs blog I found a tutorial on this quilted tile effect so I had a go at it. I need a bit more practise to get as crisp a finish as the samples on the blog but I was pleased with the effect.
The background is another stamp from the plate this time in distress ink.
More of the background stamp on my card base in a deeper distress ink, the sentiment which is embossed in clear powder and then painted with the Versacolour ink and the green flourishes are also from the plate. I needed to mount the panels so used some Kraft card embossed with my newest folder.
I had a great time using the different stamps from the plate and can see this collection being used often as it is so versatile.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Artistic Inspirations - Anything Goes
Whoopsi Daisy - Embossing
Crafty Sentiments - Fancy Folds

For our first challenge which lasts a month so you have plenty of time I made a suitcase from the fabulous Cutting Cafe.
I used the file on my Craft Robo, I tweaked the size and added two straps instead of just one but thats the fabulous thing about it being a cutting file I can make it any size I need.
The papers are from an old Brenda Pinnick pad I got a long long time ago.  I covered the edges with some washi tape and used some tiny brads to hold my buckles on.

I filled it with some Cafe latte as it was a thank you for my friend and she likes a nice Cafe Latte.

The amazing Betty Roberts gave Bre Latte away as a freebie on FaceBook a while ago, I was lucky enough to get her and she seemed the perfect image to go with this. As you can see I used some of the same papers to make the card.

We are looking forward to seeing you makes and can't wait to come visiting.

Imagine That Wellies

Hello, again, not so nice here today, still have washing in the line but more in hope than expectation. I've had time to have a play in my craft room today so have these to share with you.

Kris at Imagine That has a progressive freebie challenge, this was the freebie for April. I coloured it with my pens, cut if out by hand. Used some scraps from my box for everything except the card base. Used a new stamp from Rouge Redhead Designs for the Thank You.

This is my first play with Melt It Powder. I mixed it with Enchanted Gold, heated it up, poured it into a mould I have, popped a brooch pin in while still warm and viola. I like how easy this was and will be hunting for brooch backs and earring posts now.

I am entering these in the following challenges:

Imagine That - Use Image

I will add others but need to do some other things now. Thanks for popping by and as always I love to read any comments you take the time to leave.
