WOYWW 27th Feb

Well for the first time in a very long time I am joining in on the fun at The Stamping Ground. This is where you show your desk, floor, table whatever you work on to the world.

I was crafting last night and this is how I left it. I was making a birthday card for the middle daughter.

I have used a Teddy Bo digi stamp and some paper I got as a freebie from a magazine a while ago, I cut out the image, coloured it with Promarkers of course and mounted it onto my card. I made the card blank using various dies and papers from my stash.
I am entering the card in the following challenges:

As always thanks for popping by and if you are kind enough to take the time to leave a comment it is appreciated.

Another post...

Shocking as it may seems I have another post for you all!!!!
This is my lovely dog Ben he is a cross Rottweiler and German Shepherd and he loves nothing more than being allowed up on the bed in my craft room. He helps keep me sane and those of you who know me will know how hard that is!

This a a close up of my latest card from Designed to Delight, the lovely Faith gave us 3 versions of this to use, one full of lowers as I have used, one full of shamrocks and one full of Easter Eggs. I have also used my newest toy the fabulous Imperial Gold Labels 4 from Spellbinders, these dies are amazing and I can see them being additive.
I have used some paper I have had for so long I have no idea where it came from and some ribbon my friend gave me a long time ago that just seemed right for this card. This is as close to Clean and Simple as I will ever get I think! lol

This is another of Faiths images from ages ago, my friend is Welsh and as it is St David's Day soon I made this up for her. She's not a blogger so I can show you now with safety. I haven't managed to catch it very well but there is some glitter on the second card and the paper is foiled.

I am entering these cards in the following challenges:

Crafty CardMakers- Flowers as the main focus
One Stitch At At Time - Use a digi
Oh La La Challenge Blog- Sparkle and Shine

Thank you as always for popping by and if you are kind enough to leave a comment it is always appreciated.

Hello Again

Well at long last I have done some crafting and found some time to share what I have been up to for a change. My sister is really learning to cope with losing her sight, I am working full time from home and everything else is improving so here's hoping that 2013 will be a better year than 2012.

This card was made fro my friend's birthday, I made the card on digital scrapbook artist and coloured the lovely digi stamps from Designed to Delight with my pro-markers. I added some card candi in the corners, some glitter and put glossy accents on the icing to make it look real.

A different view of the same card.
This one I gave to another friend who wasn't feeling well at all. Again the image is from Designed to Delight, I used DSA to add some extra flowers, the text and some extra birds.

I am hoping to blog a bit more this year but I'm not promising anything, take care, thanks for popping by and if you are kind enough to leave a comment it will be most appreciated.

Some news

Hi everyone,
it's with a heavy heart I have written this post, after much thinking I have decided I need to step down from the design team at Crafty Cardmakers. I am unable to give the time and attention it needs and deserves at the moment and I don't see things here getting better anytime soon. My sister is really unwell again and there are lots of other things that I'm not going to share here that mean I don't have time or the inclination to craft. I would like to thank the team for giving me the opportunity and I loved going round to see all the wonderful things you had made.
I hope to be crafting soon and to share what I have made but don't hold your breath lol!

Time

Our challenge this week has been set by J
The main image on your card should reflect in some way the concept of Time - time passing, time spent, time waiting . . . You can use stamps, digi images, photographs, shop bought embellishments, your own drawings or anything else you can think of.

Our sponsors this time are:

$10 Gift Voucher

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like minded people.
I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw
myself.
This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

AND

We are kindly sponsored for this challenge by The Stampman (and Lady of course!) who are offering the winner a £10 voucher for their store, you can spend this online, in the shop or if you're lucky enough to see them at a show! They have a ton of items in store, enough to tickle any crafty taste bud.
This is what I used for the challenge, I found this great alarm clock card on the Internet, used my trusty Robo to cut out the shapes, I used some scraps of card for the letters, inked the edges and added a little card candi to the middle of the hands.
I found the Time concept a little difficult but now I have finished I'm really pleased with. I have been really busy with work lately so haven't been visiting my bloggy friends like I should but I'm hoping I will have more time soon so I can catch up on all your doings.
Hope to see your entry to the challenge when I'm on my rounds!
