WOYWW 12/01/2011

Wow it's the 12th of January already, there isn't much happening on the desk at the minute so I thought this week I would show you how I store my nestabilities.
This is the side of the fridge which forms a very handy place in my space to put the nesties. They are on magnetic sheets the nice thick ones which aren't cheap but you get a few sets from each sheet. Then they are put into the really cheap plastic CD wallets and attached to the fridge.

Here is a close up of the wallets and nesties, as you can see although the set is all there they are not quite as they should be. This is the advantage of having the wallets it doesn't matter too much of they aren't put back quite right. I should point out that my nine year old also uses my stash, (she does have her own but much prefers mine for some reason!) and any storage system needs to be something she will be willing to do.

Keeping it short as the number of people taking part seems to grow every week and it helps people get round as many as possible if I keep it short. Thanks for looking and I love to read any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Wow, lots of possibilities with all those. I don't own a single nestabilities yet - I think they are like potato chips - you can't have just one!

I love any system of storage that actually works. This wouldn't do it for me as the side of the fridge is next to the stove and a flight of stairs away from the rest of my crafting stuff but I love to see how nestie storage works for other people.

it truly makes me wonder how I manage without a single nestie?

they look so pretty even as a decoration, let alone the uses to which they can be put..

Nine year olds need more stash than you do, otherwise yours if fair game in their opinion. Still it is good to get them hooked early.

What a clever idea for storage! And it is space that is not being used along the side of the fridge, double points for that!
Thanks for visiting me!

This is a really neat way to store nesties. I have mine on their cards in a big box - I have to rummage each time I want a die.

A laminate sheet for challenges is a good idea - but I like to have a record of past challenges - just in case I get stuck!!

Great storage system - I've found the self-adhesive magnetic sheets the perfect way to store Nesties - I attach a piece to the back of the folder which the Nesties come in, slap the Nesties onto the magentic piece, and store them neatly in a box. Quite useful, as the instructions for using Nesties with other die cutting machines are on the inside of the folder.
Have a great weekend - Sylvia x

What a great idea, I only just got my first set of nesties (but have had a few Quickutz cookie cutter sets before) so was particularly interested to see your idea. I'm thinking I could use a magnetic notice board to pop mine onto now. Thank you for such a great idea!!

Ooh what a fab storage idea! I've just gotten my first couple of sets of Nesties myself and have been pondering the storage options.

Thanks for sharing and thanks for stopping by my blog and taking the time to comment.

Great selection of dies and a new way to store them. You are right about the magnetic mats - quality is what you want - they will last and hold the dies far better than the cheap stuf. Like the idea of being able to see what you have, and more importantly where it is!
